Campfire Dinner at the Nungarin Museum

Come along – eat by a campfire next to the bush; feel the night draw in and see the stars; hear an ANZAC’s story. This is truly special.

About this event

Our amazing Campfire Dinner Experience (the last of the year) will take you back in time to WWI. It is an evocative experience whereby you will hear the voice of young Frank, through his letter home to a mate, come alive as it is read aloud in the hushed evening.

We add the music from Frank’s battalion, the stories surrounding his life in the Wheatbelt through to the war front, all amid the atmosphere of the wonderful surrounding buildings and bush. Finishing with stories and songs; this is a great night out!

Hear about and experience the food of the era, as we prepare you a wonderful campfire stew, damper, and pudding. All this while sitting beside an amazing jarrah Army building. This is the site of the 5BOD, built as part of the Wheatbelt arc of Army buildings and facilities erected to store supplies for WWII.

You will enjoy the campfire, the food, the company of others, THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE.

You can also look through our wonderful museum if you arrive early, or come back the next day for free entry (with a dinner ticket).

Campfire Dinners are held on Nungarin Market Weekends so please stay the night and enjoy the fun of an old-fashioned market on Sunday morning.

Imagine yourself here, with your hands wrapped around your mug of tea and the fire crackling. Come on, you know you want to do it! Tickets are strictly limited and this is our last campfire dinner for 2022.

Tickets are $43.29 per person and you can book tickets online here.
