Sandalwood Interpretation Centre, Bencubbin

Sandalwooding was the pioneering industry for the North Eastern Wheatbelt region. The Sandalwood Interpretation Centre is located at the Bencubbin Community Resource Centre in the main street of Bencubbin. We have a fantastic range of Sandalwood products available for purchase at the Resource Centre.

Behind its sweet woody scent is the healing power of Sandalwood. For thousands of years Australia’s indigenous people have used it to cleanse (antibacterial) and soothe (anti-inflammatory) the skin while relaxing the mind and body. Today it’s this natural science, proven by clinical studies around the world, that help us to deliver a range of gentle and effective products, targeted to a variety of needs.

The Shire of Mt Marshall officially became known as ‘the Sandalwood Shire’ in February 2007.
