Coffee, Cake & Country Charm: Cafés Along the Wheatbelt Way Drive Trail

When you’re out exploring the Wheatbelt Way Drive Trail, hunting for wildflowers, and admiring our striking granite outcrops, a coffee and cake stop is a must! Thankfully, with more of our towns opening cafés, there are plenty of options to refuel and relax along the way.

Mukinbudin

Mukinbudin is lucky enough to have two cafés during wildflower season – one inside the Hotel Motel and the other just across the road in the old railway station, now home to the Railway Station Café.

Hotel Motel Café – Located inside the pub but sectioned off in the old dining area, this café is open 7am–5pm and serves just about everything you can think of. Right in the heart of the main street, it’s an easy stop whether you’re in for a quick coffee or a hearty meal.

Monday-Sunday: 7am-5pm

📍 21 Shadbolt St, Mukinbudin WA 6479

Railway Station Café – Full of delicious homemade goods. All profits go to Crest Children’s Care in India, so every coffee and cake is also helping a great cause. Stop in for morning tea, a light lunch, or an afternoon treat – and soak up the charm of the restored railway station.

Their sweet treats are always changing, and every one is worth trying – you might just discover the best in the Wheatbelt Way! Alongside the sweets, they also offer a full menu if you’re after something more substantial.
